For the groom: meet up with the groomsmen in their Billiard & Game Room, take in a game of pool and enjoy a special beer and cigar while preparing tuxedoes for your big day.
The University Club is located next to beautiful Alice Keck Park Gardens, and within walking distance of the majestic Santa Barbara County Courthouse and numerous ceremony locations, hotels and restaurants. In addition to your reception, you may even choose to have all your wedding events at the Club: rehearsal dinner, ceremony and next-day brunch.

The University Club invites you to join our tradition of over 90 years of elegant private events for both members and a select number of non-members. The University Club is the premiere downtown Santa Barbara location, and they extend to you all the hospitality and personal service you expect from a private Club. As a full service venue, they take care of all food, beverage, set-up and staffing … leaving you to enjoy the event.
The University Club has the look and feel of a large, elegant residence. Whether your group size is 30 people or 300, you and your guests will receive exceptional personalized attention.


You may choose from their extensive menu of fine dining selections, or the Executive Chef can design a unique menu for your event. The Club’s wine specialist can pair the perfect wine to compliment your culinary experience, and their Event’s Manager will oversee all planning details to ensure a memorable event.

Time Allotments: All day set up with the event being any 6 hour block of time.
Catering: This is an all-inclusive venue. No outside food or beverage are allowed.
Parking: On site all-day parking
Music: Amplified curfew is 11:30pm. Events can end past 11:30pm, as long as amplified music is off. The Manager must be notified of this ahead of time.
Alcohol Policy: They offer a full bar, alcohol is made available through Club.

Menu Creation and Tasting, Vendor Referral, Private Rooms: Bride changing suite, groom changing suite, kids room, and vendor break room, 200 votive candles to be scattered around the club, and also a change to peruse their event library books.
Decoration: Outside decorations are allowed.
Insurance: It is required.
Cancellation Policy: $1,000 non-refundable event deposit.
