An Insider Look at Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort by Barbra Mousouris

THE ULTIMATE RESORT WEDDING DESTINATION HAS COME TO MONTECITO!

By Barbra Mousouris, Officiant, I Do Santa Barbara

…Actually, re-opened after a long hiatus would be more accurate. As a child we ventured up to the Miramar many times, and I have fond memories of squishing quarters on the train tracks and having ice cream on the beach.

An idyllic California coastal retreat designed with style, grace and glamour, The Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort has resurrected into an even more fabulous resort, that is the perfect venue for luxury weddings! The main manor house is absolutely elegant, with it’s dramatic black front door; when you walk into the breezy resort you are immediately surrounded with a feeling of luxurious ease. Continuing out towards the magnificent azure Pacific ocean view, you will find the Great Lawn, a spectacular wedding site that can accommodate up to 300 guests. Another wedding location option is the Event Lawn, a more intimate lawn space, complete with bocce ball court and lovely tranquil koi pond.

The grand ballroom is over the top elegance, complete with multiple Baccarat chandeliers, each shipped from France for several million dollars each. Each one of these amazing bling beauties contains a special blue crystal pendant, honoring the traditional Miramar blue roof and color scheme. Although this ballroom can seat 300 for dinner, it retains a more intimate vibe, due to its rectangular shape, and can be set up with video, band stage, bar, and unlimited options. However, decorating would be simple with the gorgeous chandeliers and new construction in such a beautiful resort.

For the lucky guests who are able to stay at the Rosewood Resort for the festivities, the rooms are spectacular, many with balconies right on one of California’s most stunning beaches. Relax in two pools (1 adult, 1 family), enjoy ocean swimming, kayaking, standup paddling and complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, unwind in the beautiful tranquil spa, atone for caloric overconsumption in the well appointed fitness room, decompress with yoga on the beach and pretty much whatever is your heart’s desire! Pets and children welcome and pampered, too!

Hungry? No need to venture far; the Miramar offers breakfast, lunch and dinner inside and out in one restaurant, as well as the upscale dining option for dinner right on the beachfront…it doesn’t get more romantic than that!

The Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort truly has it all for the wedding of your dreams, and lifelong memory making for your family and friends, as well. I always wanted to live on Miramar Beach; but now we can all enjoy a little piece of paradise, luxury style…at the Rosewood Miramar! Bring on the wedding season!
