#SharingLoveInSB recently hosted an immersive rendez-vous for wedding professionals, the evening provoked a new-found passion for our creative industry, at the romantic and historic Granada Theatre. Themed “An Aphrodisiac Affair”, we stimulated senses with all things romantic and trending in the special events and wedding planning circuit.

As guests entered the Granada Theatre, they enjoyed posing at our ‘instagrammable photo-op wall’ (one of the discussed current trends) created with hedging and a love seat provided by The Tent Merchant which incorporated gorgeous red and pink roses provided by Fifty Flowers and seductive lip and pearls signage by Hilary Elizabeth Lettering.

The Good Lion Cocktails, welcomed guests on the ground level a with an aphrodisiac, the Dirty Dancing, (blanco tequila, habanero chili, blanc vermouth, pineapple, ginger, lemon and honey) served in a test tube. Upstairs for a pre-reception guests enjoyed Cocoa Chanel (bourbon, cocoa, Italian vermouth, aperitif bitter), or a mocktail, the Abstinence (blackberry cacao shrub, soda, local citrus, mint). All three drinks (the 2 cocktails, and 1 mocktail) all of which included aphrodisiac ingredients in them: chocolate, chili, ginger). The Good Lion offers cocktail catering including fresh organic juices, house made seasonal syrups and cordials, and a team of classically trained bartenders.

During the reception, and keeping with the Aphrodisiac Theme, fellow wedding professionals enjoyed roaming freshly shucked oysters by Broad Street Oyster Co. with a truly unique experience from Farm — to Hand — to Mouth.

Savoir Faire Catering served delicious sexy bites (also including aphrodisiac ingredients). The three bite size delectables included chilled asparagus soup, a delicious goat cheese tart with fig jam as well as seafood on a jicama canapés topped with caviar limes.

Of course, there is no other way to cap off an aphrodisiac evening without chocolate, and Jessica Foster Confections delectable bite size truffles were on the scene, for a split second, before the deliciousness quickly disappeared!

Fifty Flowers blooms showcased throughout the event space, in stunning and romantic arrangements designed and created by a collaborative efforts of the talents of three local floral designers: Coco Rose Design, Cody Floral Design and Margaret Joan Florals. Tall cocktail tables were adorned with the gorgeous florals and brought to life with Luxe Linen’s understated and elegant Stonewash Tuscany linen.

Fellow wedding professionals including caterers, planners, designers, photographers, venue managers and more enjoyed a spellbinding presentation by CEO and Creative Director of AOO Events, David Merrell, who ignited his knowledge of event trends and the ingenious progression of our industry.

SPARK Creative Events provided the super duper tv screens so everyone could clearly see David’s presentation as well as the sound for the evening.

Thank you also to Kelsey Crews Photography for having provided these great images of the captivating event.
