Tuscan Villa Inspired Wedding for NFL Football Player
Coming off of a 2022 Super Bowl win, Los Angeles Rams’ defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day traded in his pads and helmet for a sharp tux as he tied the knot this summer. Sebastian and his now wife Rachel were married in style at the Tuscan-inspired Sunstone Villa in the Santa Ynez valley on July 22nd.
In order to add the perfect amount of flair to the day, the couple worked with elite wedding and event planner Lisa Lafferty. Lisa’s impressive portfolio of past projects—including her work on Christine Quinn’s wedding which was highlighted on the Netflix show Selling Sunset—made her the perfect choice to craft Sebastian and Rachel’s dream wedding.
The summer day got off to a promising start as the bride and groom surrounded themselves by a supportive group of friends and family members to prepare for the ceremony. Santa Barbara’s NV Glam Studio along with Alyssa Marie provided beauty services to the bridal party and the bride before she slipped into her Galia Lahav couture wedding dress. She then made her way down the venue’s winding staircase to meet her handsome fiancé for a first look captured by Paul Von Reiter. Sebastian wore a tan tuxedo jacket paired with all black underneath while his groomsmen sported black tuxes with white shirts and bowties.
The ceremony was held amongst the rows of the vineyard, but guests kept shaded under two sprawling trees. Modern acrylic ghost chairs were used and all-white floral arrangements from Shawna Yamamoto lined the ceremony aisle. The team at Christian Anthony Music provided the heartfelt music for the ceremony as well as upbeat tunes later at the reception.
For cocktail hour, guests reconvened right outside the villa and enjoyed specialty cocktails including drinks hand-picked to fit the tastes of the bride and groom. Reception furniture and decor from MTB Event Rentals and Town & Country Event Rentals matched the venue’s luxury meets wine country ambience, and a wooden structure draped with white linens and fabulous chandeliers covered the entire party.
Pure Joy Catering provided the wedding dinner followed by a four-tier white wedding cake from the Santa Barbara bakery Room for Cake. To end the night, the couple and their guests puffed on fine cigars and celebrated a wildly successful and stylish wedding day.
