Tunes Tuesday - #SBWSMember DJ Zeke

I don't remember if I first met Zeke at a night club or at an event.  I do remember our 2nd meeting, and how I was blown away once I realized that he has 2 personalities, and they both suit him well!  You see, Zeke is a master music man, he is a traditionalist, fun loving professional DJ creating memorable and hip swingin' experiences for couples, their family and guests at weddings; and a wickedly talented DJ filling up the dancefloor with 20-40 somethings and playing the most current hit songs at The Wildcat (dance club).

2 different crowds, 2 different events, only 1 goal: get the booty's on the dance floor!

We had a deep dive with DJ Zeke to get his thoughts  about music and to get a closer look as to what makes this Santa Barbara Wedding Style Member a perfect DJ for your wedding.

The main we found out during our interview is that when Zeke gets emotional, he stops dead in his tracks to pay attention.....which has happened at every wedding he has DJ'd.  Shhh, don't tell anyone about his sensitivity.

Q - What is the #1 advice you give to couples planning their wedding with you?

A - Have FUN with the music. The music selection is the opportunity for the couple to put their own personal stamp on their wedding. There is no "right" or "wrong" when it comes to music selection. Choose nostalgic songs that share memories with ALL your friends and loved ones.

Q - What is your favorite first dance song, and why?

A - My favorite first dance song is Jason Mraz - "Lucky". Why? Because it was my own first dance song. I love the melody, vibe, and best of all (if you listen closely), it's a duet. Duets are encompassing of both sides which will always make it very relevant. In my experience dj'ing a wedding, it has been rare that couples share the same First Dance Song.

Q - What is your favorite father / daughter song and why?

A - Leanne Womack - I hope you Dance.  It gets me teary eyed every time.

Q - What is your favorite last song, and why?

A - Journey - Don't Stop Believin'. A sing along like this gets everyone together and involved, which is a perfect way to end the celebration.
