Discussion Forum Rules
This is an unmoderated forum. By posting a message in the Discussion Forum each user is agreeing to and abide
by the following rules. Failure to do so may result in deletion of posts and removal from the Discussion Forum.
1. FOLLOW THE GOLDEN RULE: DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU. Be friendly, courteous and respectful
toward one another. Discussion Forum Members are NOT permitted to post, or email via the SantaBarbaraWedding.com discussion
forum, any material which is abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, invasive of a person’s privacy, obscene,
profane, sexually oriented, knowingly false or inaccurate, or otherwise violating of any law.
SantaBarbaraWedding.com reserves the right to lock, edit or delete any post that they deem to be
in violation of the Discussion Forum Rules, with or without notifying the author.
With that said, we try to only remove messages with the consent of the message author.
We will try to contact you via e-mail in such a case.
SantaBarbaraWedding.com may release a user's email address to another user upon request.
UPDATE: Santa Barbara Wedding Guide cannot promote public comments made by its users, which may be tantamount to legal libel. As of November 15, 2006, Santa Barbara Wedding Guide will remove negative comments from its website at its discretion. However, we realize that users who are unhappy with their experience with some vendors are seeking a forum to air their grievances, and users who are looking to contract with vendors want to be made aware of those grievances. To accommodate these needs, the Santa Barbara Wedding Guide is instituting a new structure for lodging complaints against vendors.
Dissatisfied clients may submit their complaints to the Santa Barbara Wedding Guide in writing via an electronic form. Santa Barbara Wedding Guide will keep track of all legitimate complaints against its vendors. After receiving five distinct complaints from five unrelated individuals against a single vendor, the Santa Barbara Wedding Guide will attempt to contact said vendor and to take remedial actions, including but not limited to, removal from this website.
We feel that this course of action is the best way to fairly serve the needs of our users, as well as of our vendors, who continue to support this website's operations.
2. NO ADVERTISING! This includes sending Discussion Forum Members any unsolicited email including advertising,
chain letters or solicitations. Vendors are strictly prohibited from posting any advertisements, solicitations or
promotional information of any kind on our Discussion Forum.
Wedding Vendors are prohibited from making posts that promote or advertise their business in the
SantaBarbaraWedding.com discussion forum. Our forum provides a place for brides to communicate with other brides about
numerous wedding and related topics and we protect this community appropriately.
Vendors may only post messages that provide appropriate and helpful information for our brides and grooms.
SantaBarbaraWedding.com offers wedding
professionals the opportunity to promote their business by applying to join as a featured vendor.
To have your business considered for a featured listing, please email your inquiry to
info@santabarbarawedding.com.
Wedding Vendors are prohibited from posing as a bride or groom in order to promote their business. Our community members are very
savvy and extremely protective of their community. Pretending to be a bride or groom not only violates our non-promotion
policy but also insults community members.
If a wedding vendor finds a negative post regarding his/her business in the SantaBarbaraWedding.com discussion forum,
the Vendor is encouraged to contact their customer directly to attempt to resolve the situation. If, however, a resolution
is deemed unreachable, and the Wedding Vendor wishes to respond to a negative post about his/her business, the Vendor may
only do so by contacting SantaBarbaraWedding.com first and arranging the post through us.
We believe that Vendors should be allowed to present their side of
the story and communicate a more balanced version of a particular incident.
Please email us at info@santabarbarawedding.com and send us a link to the post you wish to respond to.
3. NO COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. No Discussion Forum Member is permitted to post any copyrighted material unless the
Member or SantaBarbaraWedding.com owns the copyright.
SantaBarbaraWedding.com reserves the right to ban any member who does not respect and adhere to the Discussion Forum Rules. Please
contact info@santabarbarawedding.com to report any violation of the forum rules or inappropriate material.
