Have you always dreamed of saying your vows surrounded by thousands of gorgeous, fragrant garden roses? I can’t think of a more affordable way to have this dream come true than to plan your ceremony in the A.C. Postel Memorial Rose Gardens (a.k.a. The Mission Rose Garden). Beginning mid April throughout the summertime, this breathtaking garden is abundant with the heavenly scent of rare, delicate and perfectly tended rose blossoms. Located directly across from the Mission, this is definitely a popular tourist stop but if you can overlook the onlookers, the romance of this location is undeniable! Planning a late afternoon ceremony may help you to avoid the crowds.

Capacity:
The Rose Garden area will accommodate up to 50 people with one important caveat: the reservation area is the large grassy area just outside the Rose Garden, on its Mission side. The Rose Garden itself, including the grassy areas within the Rose Garden, may not be used for your event. The park will not close to the general public, but signs reserving the area to discourage lingering people will be posted.

Fees:
Fees to reserve the Rose Garden start at $134, and will be determined by the application you submit to the Parks and Recreation offices at 620 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Deposit:
The security deposit is due 7 days prior to the event. It will end up being anywhere from $50 to $100 and is fully refundable.

Bathrooms:
There are no restrooms in the garden, but it's a short walk across the street to the Mission itself, should there be a need for it.

Music:
Amplification of sound for music or speakers is strictly prohibited. Which is just as well, since there are no electrical outlets anywhere nearby.
