Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History offers endless possibilities for your events. Are you planning a wedding, elegant evening event, a casual picnic, or a barbeque? Our unique facilities are available for your special event. Your guests will enjoy our beautiful creekside setting, historic halls and buildings, and the peaceful surroundings of Mission Canyon.

Capacity:
Broder Building and Terrace
Available for meetings, retreats, informal and formal receptions, lunches, barbeques, dinners for private, corporate or wedding events Capacity: Inside Conference style – 30; Outdoor Seated Event – 150 (up to 250, using Coggeshall Bowl); Outdoor Standing Event – 200 (up to 350, using Coggeshall Bowl).

Coggeshall Bowl
Available for outdoor theater-style seating for wedding ceremonies, memorial services, concerts or presentations and additional spacing for informal and formal receptions, lunches, dinners for private, corporate or wedding events. Capacity: Theater-style amphitheater – 80; Additional theater-style – 70. Additional Space in combination with Broder Area: Outdoor Seated Event – additional 100; Outdoor Standing Event – additional 150.

Farrand Hall
Available for indoor theater-style seating for meetings, presentations and lectures. Capacity: Theater-style seating - 80

Fleischmann Auditorium
Available for Theater-style – conferences, meetings, presentations, concerts, or lectures Dinner-style – informal and formal receptions, breakfasts, lunches, dinners for private, corporate or wedding events. Capacity: Theater-style seating – 348; Dinner Seating – 230; Dinner/Dance Seating – 200; Reception – 300.

MacVeagh House
Available for indoor conference-style seating for meetings and retreats. Capacity: Theater-style seating – 20.

Wooded Area
Available for outdoor open space available for theater-style seating for wedding ceremonies, memorial services, concerts or presentations and additional spacing for informal and formal receptions, lunches, dinners for private, corporate or wedding events. Capacity: Theater-style – 300. Additional Space in combination with Broder Area: Outdoor Seated Event – additional 100; Outdoor Standing Event – additional 150.

Fees:
Wedding fees range between $500 - $3,000.

Deposit:
The $200 security deposit is a refundable deposit and is returned in full if there is no permanent damage, excessive cleaning of the facility, and if all guidelines are followed during the event.

Insurance:
A liability insurance certificate is required.

Smoking:
Smoking and/or the use of tobacco products is not permitted inside any Museum building or on Museum grounds.

Decorations:
All décor, including plants, flowers, additional lights, etc., must be approved by the Museum BEFORE the event. Nails and/or adhesive tapes may not be used to apply anything to walls, casework or exhibit signs. Open-flame candles are not permitted, exceptions will be made if they are in a glass votive or hurricane holder.

Bathrooms:
Bathrooms outside Fleischmann Auditorium.

Dressing:
There are two options for a bridal dressing area.

Music:
Amplified music is not allowed in any of the outdoor sites.
