Bacara Resort & Spa

Bacara Resort and Spa is a stunning, Spanish-style luxury resort nestled on the scenic cliffs of the Gaviota Coast, 12 miles North of downtown Santa Barbara.  Last week we started part one of our Bacara Resort and Spa Location Spotlight mini-series featuring the Rotunda and Terrace.  This week, we are moving downstairs from the lobby level, around the grand spiral staircase to the Ballroom Foyer located between the Ballroom and Ballroom  Terrace.

The Bacara Ballroom Terrace and Foyer includes 8,700 square feet of event space.  The Terrace offers a view of the Pacific Ocean off of a lush tropical lawn area, both available throughout your event.

When you enter into the terrace doors you will find yourself in the Ballroom Foyer, which elegantly showcases vaulted ceilings, a large fireplace and mantle, beautiful decor and large windows, sure to promote a GRAND entrance into the Ballroom.

The elegant Ballroom is an expansive 11,300 square feet and houses a 23-foot-high ceiling.  The uniqely designed chandeliers, oversized gilt-framed mirrors, six balconies and beautiful sculptured details truly encompass a GRAND Ballroom.

The entire Ballroom accommodates 1,250 guest for a ceremony or 700 for a reception and dancing.  You can also rent 1/3 or 2/3 of the ballroom, each 1/3 accommodating 350 for ceremony or 250 for reception and dancing.

This is a ceremony and reception venue with overnight accommodations available for additional rental.

Pricing: $$$$$ 

Site fee: Each site fee and minimums vary based on time of year and availability. The Ballroom’s rental starts at $3000 (per 1/3) and requires food and beverage minimums prior to service charge sales tax starting at $20,000 (per 1/3).

Capacity: 

Bacara Ballroom – 700 seated reception and dancing

Ballroom A, B or C –  250 reception and dancing

Ballroom Terrace and Lawn – 700 for the entire location

Restrooms: There are ample ladies and men restrooms down the hall from the Ballroom.

Bridal Dressing Room: It is recommended that guest rooms and suites are used as dressing rooms for means of security and convenience.  The resort offers 50% off a guest suite for the happy couple during their stay.

Time Allotments: Alcohol service must end at 1:30 a.m.

Catering: Bacara provides a delectable world class cuisine which includes plated, stations or buffet-style menus, as well as brunch and luncheon options.

Parking: Parking lot is available on site, and valet cars for non-hotel guests are billed the client hosting the event.

Music: Live or amplified music is allowed within the time allotments of each specific area.

Alcohol Policy: Bacara Resort has a sommelier overseeing an award winning wine list.  Specialty drinks may be requested and provided to the party at the site of the event. 

What is Provided: A variety of banquet tables and banquet chairs are provided.  You can upgrade and rent dark wood feasting tables, chiavari chairs, decor, fire pits and various furniture and lounge groupings 

Decoration: Throughout the resort, there is stunning artwork and decor that add beauty and glamour to each room. Additional decoration may be brought in and set up in order to create a unique event. All decor must be approved by the resort prior to installation.
