8 Indoor Santa Barbara Venues for Your Winter Wedding

Mar Monte Hotel

Winter weddings have an undeniable charm, and typically come with a few added bonuses such as more venue availability and cheaper rates for travel and accommodations. And, while Santa Barbara is well-known for its scenic outdoor wedding venues including beaches, gardens, and vineyards, the city also boasts a few magnificent spaces perfect for an indoor wedding during the winter season.

Here are a couple of our favorite indoor venues the city has to offer that will help you turn your dream winter wedding into a reality.

The Granada Theatre

Situated in downtown Santa Barbara, the theatre is a local landmark and includes several different spaces to accommodate your rehearsal dinner, ceremony or reception. The venue’s main stage overlooking the grand performance hall, The McCune Founders Room, and spacious lobbies are all available for either a small, elegant event or a larger, more elaborate affair.

The Santa Barbara Club

Host up to 125 guests at the historic and timeless Santa Barbara Club. The Club’s Main Dining Room overlooks the grounds’ lush lawn through a glass wall and is a popular choice for events and weddings. A formal lobby and Bar and Lounge with a baby grand piano can also be utilized, as well as the library typically used for the bride to get ready and the Game Room featuring a pool table for the groom.

Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort

The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort offers four incredible and stylish indoor venues. Enjoy the ocean views from inside in either the Spanish-inspired Reagan Room or the Fiesta Room featuring floor to ceiling windows. For an enhanced setting complete with shimmering chandeliers and luxurious details, you can select the Santa Barbara Ballroom - or the Grand Ballroom for larger parties and a built-in sound system.

With Carr Winery, you get two different options for a unique indoor winter wedding experience: the Santa Barbara Barrel Room or Santa Ynez Warehouse. Both locations are perfect for wine lovers planning a more intimate gathering.

Santa Barbara Barrel Room:

The Barrel Room has high aesthetic ceilings and stacked barrels fill the space with a pleasant wine aroma. Cocktail tables with stools, booths, glassware, and game tables are all available to renters.

Santa Ynez Warehouse:

Hold your reception at the Santa Ynez Warehouse - the spot where all of Carr’s wines are waxed, bottled, aged, and crated. The venue is spacious including a u-shaped oak bar, tasteful uplighting, high tables, booths, and even a shuffleboard table to entertain your guests.

Acme Hospitality

Acme Hospitality is an innovative collection of boutique food and beverage concepts based in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone. The Santa Barbara Wine Collective and the Pullman Room at The Lark are both perfect indoor venues for a classy winter wedding.

Santa Barbara Wine Collective:

Santa Barbara Wine Collective is a shared tasting room for Santa Barbara County's finest wine producers. It is both a neighborhood hangout and an uncommon experience for visitors who are interested in tasting a wide range of local wines produced here in Santa Barbara County. Contemporary and industrial design provides an inviting and open space fitting for an intimate dinner party or a large cocktail reception.

The Pullman Room at The Lark:

The Lark, named for the sleek overnight Pullman train of the Southern Pacific Railroad that serviced Santa Barbara from 1910 -1968, is a 130 seat full-service restaurant located in the historic Santa Barbara Fish Market building. Situated in the heart of the Funk Zone, a vibrant arts district and home to local surf shops, galleries and the popular Urban Wine Trail, The Lark brings the entire Santa Barbara community together to celebrate our unique place.

The Lark featured three unique private event venues appropriate for numerous occasions including weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday and anniversary parties, family gatherings or corporate meetings.
