Brides ceremony at Zaca Lake

Less than an hour north of Santa Barbara, Zaca Lake is a 320-acre private sanctuary surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest. Set along the Foxen Canyon wine trail, the property centers around a rare, spring-fed lake and is lined with redwood-shaded cabins that have been lovingly restored for modern comfort. It’s a setting that feels both hidden and timeless—perfect for an intimate celebration.

This was the very first wedding hosted at Zaca Lake, and it couldn’t have been more special. Two beautiful brides exchanged vows with the shimmering lake and distant mountains as their backdrop, surrounded by family, friends, and nature’s quiet beauty. The reception that followed featured a long kings table tucked among the trees, dressed in vintage-tinted glassware, candelabras, framed photos of the couple, and even custom wine bottles that reflected their personal touch.

Dinner by Slate Catering included lamb pops, pork tenderloin with olive focaccia, and fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, while Welcome Coffee Cart kept guests happily caffeinated into the evening. The day came together seamlessly thanks to a talented vendor team: photography by Lena Britt, makeup by Candies Querfurth and Julie Christy, hair by Courtenay Miller, and day-of coordination by Alyssa Potter of Homegrown Events.

Filled with love, laughter, and natural beauty, this Zaca Lake wedding marked a stunning debut for a venue that’s bound to become a Santa Ynez favorite.
