From the bride:

The owners (of Peacock Farms), Jessica and Jason, and the wedding coordinator Danica really made us feel comfortable. As Danica took us on the tour of the property and the gardens, we felt both at ease and comfortable and we knew this was the place for us to get married. We also got to do wine tasting as well on the property with peacock cellars. Not only was this place beautiful and met our needs for our wedding the wine was really good as well, so that was a huge bonus.

Jason and I knew that the owners Jason and Jessica and wedding coordinator Danica were going to make sure our wedding day would go smooth and be great.

Our wedding was in November and since I am a huge lover of fall, we really wanted to incorporate that in our theme. So I would say our theme was country chic with soft neutral touches of fall.

Lori Boe did our floral and she did an amazing job. Our venue was beautiful on its own, so did not need to add a lot.

To incorporate the fall theme, for our centerpieces used jar dale pumpkins, they are a light green color and incorporated lots of greenery with soft white floral notes in arrangements. All of the floral used in our wedding was greenery with soft touches of white and some berries also placed. To add a touch of color we used amber colored votive for candles and I also found really cute amber mason jars for small floral arrangements that we placed around the venue. To keep the rustic/country chic theme going, a co-worker of mine Bree, she made all of our signs that were made out of wood and they were just beautiful.

Jason and I have been together for 12 years, on our wedding day we wanted everyone to feel the love we have for each other and to know how much we loved them. After talking to our friends after the wedding I think that we accomplished that mission

Jason and I kept our guest list down, and this was important to us because we just wanted close family and friends and this ended up being awesome so we could interact with everyone. Your wedding day flies by even keeping it simple, so try to cherish every moment of your wedding and don’t worry about the small stuff, because in the end it doesn’t really matter.

The day of our wedding was just magical. Jason told me the night of our wedding that it was the best day of his life and I couldn’t agree with him more. I can honestly say that planning a wedding two hours a way from where we lived was not always easy, but with Danica’s help she made it possible. She was able to guide me in right direction to all of our vendors and that made it so much easier with planning process. The day of the wedding I was so calm and just ready to marry my best friend and I couldn’t wait to see him. Jason and I are more on the private side, so we both wrote our vows to read to each other before the wedding and this was awesome because it was so personal and something just shared between us. The moment I walked down the aisle I was so happy to see Jason and I was so excited to finally marry my best friend.

At one point Jason and I just stood back and were so grateful all of our family and close friend were there to celebrate with us. I know this sounds corny, but you could just really feel the love there and it was such an amazing feeling. Our wedding was the best day and great way to celebrate our 12 years together and starting a new chapter in our lives. Our photographer Jennifer Lourie did an amazing job. She not only stayed on top of everything we discussed, but the pictures she took were just beautiful, she was able to capture the beauty of our venue and all the moments that we could look back on and enjoy. It is really hard to put into words the joy and love we felt during our wedding day, and it was such a magical day.

My advice to future brides. When planning your wedding keep it about you and your future husband, because that is what it is about. Keep it simple and select a venue that really cares about their clients and that will work with you. Also picking a good photographer is very important, because these are the memories that you will have to keep forever. All the rest of the planning process just falls into place.
