Funk Zone Wedding Industry Mixer: A Santa Barbara Celebration of Community + Connection
From Zohe to you —
There’s something truly special that happens when our wedding community comes together. These mixers aren’t just about bites, drinks, or pretty florals (although yes, we love all of the above). They’re about connection — the kind that brings vendors together for the first time, helps old friends reconnect, sparks collaborations, and yes… even leads to vendors hiring vendors!
That’s the magic of Santa Barbara’s wedding industry — and the heart behind our Funk Zone Wedding Industry Mixer last month.
Here’s what went down in the Funk Zone…
We gathered at 120 E. Yanonali Street, where the sun made a perfect cameo just in time for the party to start. There was laughter, hugs, and that signature Santa Barbara glow — inside and out.
It filled my heart to see so many of you mingling, meeting for the first time, and sharing what you’re working on. These events are about more than just networking — they’re about building our creative community and lifting each other up.
A few highlights from the day:
Florals by Fleur de Rye
Watching her sprinkle beauty across the space with her whimsical, textural blooms was such a joy. She’s a total cutie patootie and a true talent.
Bites by White Caps Beach Club
I’m still dreaming of that ahi tostada and coconut shrimp. What was your favorite? Because honestly, I could eat those every day.
Açaí Bowls by Oakberry
Shoutout to Ana for recommending the quinoa topping — WHO KNEW!? So good.
Electric Bike Rides with Bike Tours of Santa Barbara
Some of you got to cruise around on two wheels — wheeeeee! The perfect way to take in the Funk Zone vibe.

Myra was capturing it all — from candid convos to styled setups — and the photos are a chef’s kiss.
Let’s keep this going.
These mixers are about spotlighting A-List Vendors, supporting each other’s work, and creating space where ideas and opportunities can flow. If you’re ever interested in showcasing at the next one — holler! I’d love to feature you.
And to everyone who attended: thank you for making this event so full of joy, heart, and community. You make “my job” feel like a celebration every time.
Until next time —
xo,
Z
