Green-Inspired Foxen Canyon Ranch Wedding with a Grandiose Reception

The secluded Foxen Canyon Ranch, with its expansive views and classic white barn, provided the perfect canvas for today’s couple to design their dream wedding balanced between rustic and sophisticated. A green wedding theme sprinkled with yellow pops of color, mainly from fresh lemons, defined this late summer wedding.

To start the day, Jodee Debes Photography captured the bride twirling in her dress in front of her bridesmaids, followed by an affectionate first look with her father. The groom, dressed in a classic black tux and bowtie, then waited for his bride underneath an impressive tree which spanned the entire ceremony set up. Following the vows, guests moved to the venue’s open bar area for cocktails, plus hors d’oeuvres served by Pure Joy Catering.

With help from Bright Event Rentals and La Tavola, the barn reception was an eden filled with lush vines snaking all the way to the ceiling, tall candle holders, gold-rimmed plates and silverware, and centerpieces of white petals by Jerry Palmer Flowers. Solvang Bakery created a 5-tiered wedding cake masterpiece for the occasion following multiple toasts. The dance floor was filled later into the night as The Society Band brought the live music, and to re-energize between dance sessions Pure Joy Catering distributed delicious burgers and fries.
