Halloween Weekend Camp-Themed Wedding at the El Capitan Canyon Lodge
We love a good theme wedding and today’s unique featured event certainly delivers! Held at El Capitan Canyon over Halloween weekend, the couple’s wedding kicked off with a costume contest welcome party to celebrate the spooky holiday. Bella Vista Designs even decorated the venue’s meadow with decor, fog, and spooky lighting just for the occasion.
In addition to the tribute to Halloween, a Camp theme also helped to define the entire weekend since the couple and their guests stayed on site in the venue’s quaint cabins and enjoyed their time among the mountains. Camp activities were even scheduled including a yoga session the morning of the wedding and other camp games.
On the day of the ceremony and reception, coordinated by KB Events, an overcast sky and even a touch of fog provided a perfect moody ambiance. The bride got ready alongside her bridesmaids with La Rouge Artistry before changing into her off-the-shoulder ballgown-styled wedding gown. Her bridesmaids wore varying warm colors to match the season, and the groom and his groomsmen wore dark blue with red ties. For the ceremony, guests walked up to the spot overlooking the ocean, removed from the areas they were familiar with. Ella & Louie decorated a triangular-shaped wedding arch with boho and autumn-colored florals and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the sweet couple made it official.
Afterward, the bridal party popped some bubbly before everyone headed to the venue’s meadow for a cocktail hour with drinks provided by BevMo! For dinner, guests entered the sailcloth tent that brought nature in with vines growing on the poles and wicker lanterns accenting the dance floor—compliments of Bella Vista Designs. Bright Event Rentals took care of other furnishings and Seasons Catering made sure the entire party was fed. The meal included salads, tri tip, chicken, and other sides. Once the sun went down, the tent was enclosed to create a fabulous dance party, and Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment provided the soundtrack to an amazing night.
