From Jocelyn & Spencer:

In a time of so much uncertainty, we’re all looking for a constant. Something we can count on to stay how we’ve always known it to be. A thing or person that we can hold onto that will help sturdy us throughout these times. Something or someone that won’t change nearly as fast as the world does. Erica & Gideon found that constant in each other, and on Saturday they donned on their wedding attire and prepared for their intimate Montecito church wedding later in the day.

We met Erica & Gideon at Westmont College where they planned to have their first look. These moments are some of our favorites on wedding days. First looks give the couple a few minutes to spend with each other alone, before the ceremony and before all of their guests arrive. It’s a time to release nerves and experience your wedding day with just each other. Erica & Gideon’s first look took place in the formal gardens near rows of Lavender and a few Cyprus trees. As she called his name, Gideon turned to face his bride and a large smile appeared on his face as he marveled at his soon-to-be wife.

Erica & Gideon, you have impressed us both with your caring and patient spirits as we all navigated this season of uncertainty. We are so thankful and feel so blessed to be a part of your Montecito church wedding. Throughout all of the planning and all of the changes and restrictions, you two leaned on each other, and finally, you can now say you’re married! Congratulations, you two! We are so happy for you both and we cannot wait to follow along with all of your married adventures!
