La Paloma Cafe originally opened in 1938 where vaqueros and cattlemen came together to break bread and wet their whistles. It quickly became a hub of activity and was part of what was known as “restaurant row.” After being closed for 37 years, La Paloma or “The Dove” has once again taken wing on the iconic corner of Anacapa and Ortega in the historic Presidio Neighborhood of Santa Barbara.

We’ve brought back not only the historical charm, but the opportunity to gather with friends and family and we’ve created numerous event spaces for your special celebrations. La Paloma specializes in California barbecue where flavors reflect the past and present of our local community and we’ve created a cocktail program that features selections of Mezcal and Tequila for your celebratory needs.
