Zaca Creek Ranch is located in the heart of California’s wine country forty minutes northeast of Santa Barbara California. One of the last of the grand rancheros granted by the Mexican government in “alta California,” the ranch comprises some 1600 acres of rolling hills and rich pasture. “Zaca” is a working cattle ranch that includes event facilities second to none in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. We host a limited number of events each year to select guests. Our philosophy is simple: it’s your event; we want to work with you to realize your vision. We’re flexible — it’s a ranch!
You will enjoy full access and use of the Barn, Barn Residence and the “great lawn” with its spectacular views of a grassy “draw” and the mountains beyond. Two acres around the Barn Residence are fenced and include an open fire pit, oak barbecue grills, lawn furniture, and a stage wired for sound. There is plenty of room for casual “mingling” or more formal seated or tented events. Upstairs in the Barn Residence you have access to three decks with amazing views, two bedrooms for dressing and preparation, two bathrooms, kitchen and, of course, the living area for day of wedding use by the bride and bridal party. Downstairs you will enjoy use of two covered patios below the residence and the large, enclosed barn itself for dinner and/or dancing.
- Barn downstairs can seat up to 130 guests comfortably - additional seating capacity is available under the covered patio areas adjacent to the barn.
- Outdoor lawn and BBQ area can seat up to 300+ guests comfortably and is either on an "open air" or tented basis.
Restrooms: One restroom on site. Additional portable units will need to be rented.

Decorations: Ranch adapts to either casual or elegant style, depending on guest preference.
Cancellation Policy: A security deposit of $2,000 and 50% of the use fee is due upon signing of contract. The use fee is fully refundable up to 90 days prior to the event. The remaining balance of the use fee is due 3 months prior to the event and is non refundable in the event of cancellation. The security deposit is refunded less charges, if any, within two weeks.
