Bride walking into wedding ceremony at Presidio Chapel

Eric and Katherine’s August Sunday wedding felt like a love letter to Santa Barbara in all the best ways. From the moment they exchanged vows at the historic Presidio Chapel, it was clear this day was thoughtfully designed to reflect not only their relationship, but the town they adore. As the team at Twisted Twig so perfectly put it, working with the couple was a dream — and the result was proof that you really can build a timeline that captures both personality and place. With the sun shining bright, they made the most of every golden, palm-lined corner for photos (beautifully captured by Lauren Maeve Photography), soaking in that effortless Santa Barbara glow.

The celebration continued just down the way with an intimate reception at Gala Restaurant, where the vibe shifted into something cozy, relaxed, and undeniably romantic. Guests sipped on blood orange margaritas and Hugo spritzes while a live guitarist, Chris Fossek, set the tone with soft, acoustic melodies drifting through the space. Inside, Twisted Twig carried their vision through with airy white blooms and fresh greenery that felt perfectly in tune with the setting, while Coastal Rose Events kept everything flowing seamlessly behind the scenes.

It was the kind of evening that felt equal parts elevated and easygoing — the kind where conversation lingers, glasses stay full, and no one is in a rush to leave. A simple two-tiered naked cake from Lele Patisserie added a sweet finishing touch, rounding out a day that felt beautifully personal from start to finish.
