We need joy as we need air. We need love as we need water. We need each other as we need the earth we share.

Bride before wedding at Santa Barbara Courthouse

There’s something especially magical about those moments right before “I do,” and this photo captures it perfectly. Our bride, bouquet in hand and glowing with pure excitement, stood outside the Santa Barbara Courthouse just minutes before her intimate COVID-era ceremony. After months of planning, postponing, and hoping, the celebration was finally here—small in size, but overflowing with meaning. And truly, it was worth every bit of the wait.

The day unfolded with the kind of relaxed elegance only Santa Barbara can deliver. After a heartfelt ceremony officiated by Ceremonies by Nanette, the couple strolled over for celebratory drinks at the Belmond El Encanto, taking in the sweeping city views. Dinner followed at Barbareno, where they toasted to love, resilience, and a new chapter. Lele Patisserie provided the sweetest finishing touch with a stunning dessert. Beautifully captured by ByCherry Photography, this day was a reminder that even the smallest weddings can hold the biggest joy.
