National One Hit Wonder Day: A Look at Our Favorite Tunes

Today, we have a chance to rewind and remember some of our favorite songs throughout the decades. Specifically, National One-Hit Wonder Day highlights those artists who dropped some of the most popular tunes in music history and then quickly faded away, leaving us wanting more.

Celebrate the day with a trip down memory lane and follow along to the chorus of some of these unforgettable, musical masterpieces.

From Santa Barbara Wedding Style Editor and Music Fanatic, Zohe Felici:

I love this post today, because not only am I a hopeless romantic, but music has been my passion ever since I can remember! One of my first memories as a child was listening to opera and classical music with my dad who would tell me the stories of what the songs and ballads meant. I would also dance and sing along to Italian and other International songs my mom would spin on the record player (and eventually cassette tapes, CDs, and of course now Spotify).

Naturally, I would pick an Italian number as my number one favorite one-hit wonder. if you want something a wee bit different, but relevant to weddings, here is my choice:

Ryan Paris (born Fabio Roscioli in Rome) debuted his one-hit wonder, “Dolce Vita”, in 1983. This video, which I happen to love, is filmed by the Seine river in the city of Paris. Ryan dances along the Seine as he sings what it will be like with the woman of his dreams, enjoying 'the sweet life' (la Dolce Vita).

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

A couple of our musical members shared their favorite one-hit wonders as well. Grab your dancing shoes and we hope you enjoy a couple more blasts from the past!
