Following the trend of weddings in this past year, today’s featured event was originally planned as a larger ceremony and reception in Santa Barbara County, but, due to Covid, the couple made a few adjustments. Instead, the bride and groom held a micro wedding on their original wedding date in the bride’s parents idyllic Westlake Village backyard, and postponed their larger gathering for next year.

The wedding planners at Brilliant Wedding Co. remained agile during this process and helped the couple to create a beautiful experience. The bride wore a silk v-neck wedding gown as she met her groom under the traditional birch wood chuppah provided by Happy Chuppah, and they recited their vows in front of a few close guests.

Margaret Joan Florals assisted with the wedding planning and crafted lush green, white, and pink flower arrangements for the bridal bouquet, chuppah, and reception table centerpieces. This backyard wedding satisfied Margaret Joan’s desire to work with couples and families within their own spaces in order to make the event truly personalized. For the reception, tables were dressed in detailed blue and white tablecloths and Modern Art Catering provided a meal for the evening. A decorated outdoor fireplace became the spot for the couple’s first dance - a moment, along with many others throughout the day, captured by Santa Barbara wedding photographers Michael & Anna Costa.
