Create a Perfect Wedding with Roblar Winery & Farm

Leanne Elliott from Roblar Winery and Farm recently shared with us some great advice for couples looking to plan their dream wedding, as well as what it’s like to have a wedding at one of Roblar’s breathtaking venues. The vineyard and farm provide a perfect rustic location for a truly luxurious yet authentic experience.

Q - What makes this venue style special for couples?

A - Roblar Winery is a special place that combines all the best of Santa Ynez. Beautiful redwood buildings, a gorgeous ceremony terrace in the vines, menus that feature fresh produce from Roblar Farm and beautiful landscaping that offers intimate and shady areas for guests to get comfortable and enjoy our estate wines.

Q - What is your #1 top piece of advice you give to couples before they hire you?

A - Understand your budget and what you can actually get for those dollars, and hire a good planner that will be your support and guidance through the planning process.

Q - What is trending with your couples?

A - We specialize in classic winery weddings. Timeless, elegant, fun, and gorgeous. They will look back at their photos in 20 years and still like what they see - and they can come back any time to revisit where it all happened!

Q - What are 2 things you wish couples would do for every wedding?

A - 1) Only do what really matters to you, and then invest in those areas. Don't try to spread your budget too thin. If you get a few things just right, like delicious food and great service, then a good party is guaranteed.

2) Hire a good planner that will help pair you up with your perfect vendors in personality, style and budget. And then trust those vendors when it comes to the day. Remember to relax, enjoy, take it in and let the professionals you've hired do the heavy lifting on event day.

Q - To date, what wedding have you done that has made the top of your favorite list, and why?

A - My favorite was an event where the couple really used all of the spaces at the Winery, from the Potting Shed, to the Wisteria Pergola, to the Twin Oak Terrace. It really showcased how beautiful the winery setting is and how flexible it can be, providing different spaces for the guests to enjoy throughout the evening.
