We’re deep in the dog days of summer, and July 31st marks a paws-itively perfect holiday—National Mutt Day! It's a day dedicated to showing extra love to our mixed-breed companions (as if we ever needed an excuse), and to raise awareness about adopting these incredible pups who make up nearly 80% of dogs in shelters nationwide.
Here at Santa Barbara Wedding Style, we know just how much dogs mean to their humans. So it’s no surprise that more and more couples are choosing to include their four-legged family members in the most special day of their lives. From first looks featuring tail wags and wet noses, to ceremony walk-ins with flower collars and bow ties, these pups often steal the show—in the sweetest way.
But even when they can’t be there in person, dogs still get their moment in the spotlight. We’ve seen everything from signature drinks named after the couple’s mutt to custom cocktail napkins, illustrated cake toppers, and even reception signage featuring their furry faces.
