Join the California Nature Art Museum and Sol Aromatic’s Artisan Perfumer Susan Farber for an immersive, hands-on natural perfume-making workshop on Sunday, February 8th, from 1 PM-4 PM in celebration of Valentine’s Day. You’ll explore the rose—the flower of love—and create your own custom fragrance with rose at its heart.

During this creative experience, you’ll craft your own natural perfume with a curated selection of exquisite essential oils and absolutes—each chosen to complement the rose and enrich your fragrance design. You’ll learn the essentials of perfume structure and formulation, and receive personalized guidance to bring out the type of rose you wish to express—whether fresh, fruity, musky, spicy, or sweet—so your fragrance becomes uniquely your own.

In this immersive workshop, you will …

• Learn about the symbolism and beauty of the rose in perfumery.

• Receive step-by-step guidance as you design your own rose-inspired fragrance.

• Leave with your custom-made perfume and a take-home guide of the process.

The class fee for this workshop is $150 for CalNAM Members and $165 for CalNAM Non-Members, per participant, all supplies included. Advance registration is required. This class is best suited for individuals aged 18 years and above.

Led by Susan Farber, trained natural perfumer and founder of Sol Aromatics, each session includes hands-on guidance in the art of natural perfumery—from concept to creation.

Guests explore a beautifully arranged palette of rare essential oils, absolutes, and custom bases, selected to suit the tone of the event and enhance the creative process.

Couple’s Experience - (2 participants) - $525 total

• Enjoy a 2-hour private session customized for two.

Small Group Experience - (4 participants) - $150 per person

• Participate in a 2.5-hour guided experience.

Larger Group Experience - (6-10 participants) - $135 - $150 per person
