Sound bath set up at spring wedding showcase.

This Spring Wedding Showcase on the campus of Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Goleta was everything we hoped it would be — and then some.

Madeline of I Love You Maddly Weddings & Events, Melanie of Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, and I are still smiling!

What unfolded throughout the evening was more than just a showcase. It was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the incredible talent that makes Santa Barbara’s wedding community so special.

The terrace buzzed with conversation, charcuterie from JeanieC Charcuterie, and craft cocktails from Smoking Gun Bar Staffing (love me some spicy margaritas!). Pat + Pablo of Santa Barbara Hives came with their wood-fired pizzas and a surprise: local honey and handcrafted soaps that quickly became one of the most-talked-about tables of the night. Guests were going back for seconds. And thirds… maybe more.

Aaron and Matt of DJ Bouquet Sound kept the energy alive across the campus while Elizabeth Victoria Photography, Emily Hart-Roberts Photography, Trent of Jasper & Oak (video and photo booth), and Allie Dearie captured every detail, every laugh, and every connection throughout the evening.

Inside the Indoor Sanctuary, Erica & Oakley of Lotus Healing Studio created something truly unexpected — a sound bath experience so calm and enveloping that stepping into the room felt like taking a literal breath of fresh air. More than a few guests lingered longer than they originally planned.

In Fellowship Hall, Artistry by Adonna invited attendees to pick up paintbrushes and create something with their own hands. Watching people light up at their own creativity never gets old.

A Pretty Little Posie filled every corner of the campus with stunning florals while also guiding guests through bouquet making that felt equal parts beautiful and meditative.

Then 7:15 arrived.

Guests gathered in the Outdoor Sanctuary as models Daniel Ramirez and Roxy Ozuna brought a full mock ceremony to life beneath the open sky and spring blooms of the Live Oak campus. The ceremony featured a gown by The Dresser Bridal Couture (thank you, Bella Gonzalez), hair and makeup by Sara Pacheco Beauty, and was officiated by Wedding Officiant Julia Garcia. The evening continued with cake by Cakes by Heather Ashley and a champagne toast — complete with a rocket launch overhead, because apparently the night was determined to outdo itself.

It was the kind of moment that stops a room.

One of the most beautiful parts of the evening was watching connections happen in real time. Vendors who had not crossed paths in months were exchanging numbers. New faces arrived and instantly felt welcomed. That is the entire point of gatherings like this. The value of Santa Barbara’s wedding community is not just in what happens during the event itself — it is in the relationships and collaborations that continue long after the night is over.

Events like this are also a reminder that being part of Santa Barbara Wedding is so much more than simply appearing on a blog. It is a living, breathing network of people who genuinely show up for one another and continue to elevate this industry together.
