Sweet and Intimate Santa Barbara Courthouse Elopement
From Allie Dearie Photography:
Nichelle & Gabe's Santa Barbara elopement at the courthouse was beautiful, sweet, and full of the most perfect little moments for an amazing couple. They started their wedding day morning by getting ready at an Airbnb cottage near the beach. Nichelle's mom helped her with her veil, and they shared an emotional moment together. Gabe wore a blue suit perfect for the coastal summer vibe. He awaited Nichelle on the porch, where they shared a first look and some happy tears.
Before we left, we had to take a few photos with their mini Aussie pups (a must on your wedding day, for all the dog parents out there!) Then we headed to the county courthouse for their clerk-recorder's office appointment. After making it official with a ceremony overlooking the sunken gardens, we headed up to the clock tower for a private portrait moment! They enjoyed a quiet moment together, taking in the views of the city and mountains. Nichelle's beautiful lace veil was perfect for photos from above in the courthouse's iconic spiral staircase.
The historic architecture of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse is truly unmatched for romantic wedding photos at any time of year. Friends and family made their way to Flor de Maiz by the waterfront for a celebratory lunch, and after portraits around the gorgeous courthouse grounds, Nichelle and Gabe met them there to toast and enjoy the afternoon with their loved ones. They sat at one long table so they could be surrounded by their community during their celebration. It was the perfect intimate wedding day in Santa Barbara!
