Recently, The Kimpton Canary Hotel hosted local wedding and event planners for lunch to release their inner foodie and sample some of Canary’s delicious new menu items while experiencing an exquisite family-style affair on their rooftop.
YES! you heard right, Family Style is an added feature offered for receptions at the hotel! This deliciousness includes the platters and serving utensils (at no added cost) with a delicious variety of delectable dishes and tasty options that will please any palate.
Chef Peter Cham, whose culinary education and gourmand career both began in San Fransisco, returned to his home-town of Santa Barbara and has recently joined the team at Finch & Fork. Chef Cham brings personalization on seasonal California cooking, melding both classic and modern approaches, and this fabulous feast was no exception.
The group started with a delightful intimate reception in the Presidential suite which included bites of Mushroom & Goat Cheese Arancini and a Citrus Marinated Crab Tostada which were paired with a refreshing mimosa spritzer.
We then moved up to the breathtaking rooftop, which boasts 360-degree views of the city. Planners had fun partaking in and a Spring bicycle selfie station while enjoying a BRIGHTLY colored Hibiscus Margaritas!
Once seated for lunch at the beautifully set family style table with baby blue VELVET linens from La Tavola Linen and spring-themed florals from The Twisted Twig, we were treated like royalty with the following gourmet lunch:
