From Zohe Felici - the owner of the blog:

What a spectacular afternoon of networking at the luxurious Montecito Club! It was so fulfilling and rewarding to watch everyone meet new faces and for some to reconnect with familiar ones at the event. I am so grateful for our community and for the opportunity to share ideas, information, best practices, and lessons learned with fellow catering gurus and hotel champions! We are creating the start of a hospitality 'venue group' which will unite our industry and bring support so that we can empower each other to grow our wonderful wedding community, and bring more couples to the Santa Barbara area.

Special thanks to KB Events for planning and designing the whole event and for working with Bright Event Rentals to create a couple of truly gorgeous tablescapes including trendy features of glossy tablecloths, pops of colored napkins, ghost chairs, and silverware to match the modern vibe.

Spark Creative Events provided lighting to illuminate the grand ballroom using color and patterns in order to bring in the colors and create a cozy environment of the large and white-walled location.

In addition, we are grateful Renoda Campbell Photography was able to capture the evening and provide us with fun photos of the new connections and friendships created by this event.

Guitar Witt brought in various instruments to strum and play for entertainment. His repertoire includes everything from Spanish, Gypsy, Jazz, and Folk, to Classical guitar—making for a wonderfully dynamic background music experience for the reception. For some added fun Gavin Roy provided the trending 360 video booth which is currently all the rage, and it was a blast watching guests experiment with the equipment.

As the experience began, Montecito Club provided lip-smacking and delicious blood orange margaritas which were passed as our guests met for the first time, re-connected or mixed and mingled, as well as provided local wines and micro beers that were available at the bar. They continued to titillate our taste buds with scrumptious passed hors d’oeuvres including brie bites, zucchini fingers, Asian-inspired ahi canapes, and mouth-watering bite-size desserts. The charcuterie spread captured a Middle Eastern flair and was a great grazing station for guests to go to between chit-chats.

After the sunset made a magnificent appearance, fully illuminating the venue’s ceremony area, attendees participated in custom Bingo helping all to meet new people and find out more about the various local wedding vendors as well as personal details about one another. Last but not least, a big CONGRATULATIONS to both Valerie and Irene for winning the grand prize of gorgeous floral arrangements created by the fabulous Bo of Tangled Lotus Floral Design!
