Today we are highlighting Santa Barbara Wedding Style member, Catering Connection. The catering team worked effortlessly with today’s bride and groom to create a delectable menu that every one of their guests could enjoy. They achieved this while also remaining true to the couple’s desire to include Spanish, European and Middle Eastern cultural influence into their menu and to use seasonal and local ingredients.

Following the bride and groom’s traditional ceremony under a floral arch at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm, the newlyweds and their guests moved to the Live Greenhouse for cocktail hour. Here they were able to enjoy hors d'oeuvres prepared by the talented team at Catering Connection. The vegetarian hors d’oeuvres options included Thai Curry Samosas, Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls with a Plum Dipping Sauce, Pear, Brie and Roasted Walnut Quesadillas and Artichoke Fritters with Béarnaise Sauce.

After cocktail hour, the party moved to the main greenhouse where they were delighted again with light and refreshing dishes made by Catering Connection that created colorful plates matching the wedding’s color theme. The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a plated first course of a salad featuring Jay Leaf Farm's Baby Field Greens with Ojai Pixie Tangerine, Ripe Carpinteria Avocado, Roasted Santa Barbara's Pistachio and a Lemon-Poppy Seed Vinaigrette. Then the party was able to partake in the buffet entree options including Pan Seared Chicken Breast with Cherries and Green Olives, Citrus Glazed Atlantic Salmon Filet, Israeli Couscous with Roasted Spring Vegetables and Feta Cheese, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables and an Israeli Salad.

Betsy Newman captured all of the delicious selections as well as the additional wedding details put together by wedding planner Onyx + Redwood. Bella Vista Designs also helped to light up the reception at the greenhouse and florals as bright as the food were provided by Precious & Blooming.

Catering Connection believes in the power of exceptional meals and flawless events and after such a meal as this, we can confidently say these newlyweds and their guests won’t soon forget each tasty dish that helped make this beautiful and memorable day one that won’t soon be forgotten.
