From Zohe Felici - the owner of Santa Barbara Wedding Style and Felici Events:

In late April we organized an industry mixer at The Maker’s Son, in Los Alamos, which included event and wedding professional from across both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County.

The venue has various elements of Los Alamos charm with its classic design, vintage collectibles and historic memorabilia. Along with numerous expansive and unique outdoor spaces, pieces of the past and fixtures of the present are artfully woven throughout the grounds, evoking a sense of wonder and tranquility. As guests arrived, they were serenaded by the sweet sounds of the guitar from David Segall, which could be heard even from the street as people approached the venue.

As guests continued to file in, they admired the ceremony set up and multiple reception tablescapes both indoor and outdoor, put together with help from both Gatherings for Good and Sweetpea Florals and Decor. Custom, modern signage from Palette and Pine adorned the entryway with a Welcome Sign, and multiple colorful bar signs let attendees know of the various delicious cocktails (and zero proof cocktails) that were available—and lip-smacking delicious, we might add!

The amazing afternoon and venue showcase wasn’t complete without the delectable taco station consisting of a fresh salsa bar, deliciously made guacamole, handmade tortillas and savory fillings. And, after the meal, we finished off our thirst-quenching cocktails while meandering the well-manicured grounds of The Maker’s Son full of surprising nooks and cozy crannies.

And, to top it all off, there was a cuteness overload with Strawberry, the Event Burro who delivered desserts made by Sweet and Succulent Treats to each guest. We also can’t forget to give a quick shoutout to the talented DJ Darla Bea for providing us with some beats later into the evening.
