The Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center, on the second floor of the Cabrillo Pavilion, is Santa Barbara’s premiere beachfront venue. The building leads out to the sands of East Beach, and panoramic ocean views make the upstairs Event Center an idyllic location for weddings, corporate meetings and conferences, family celebrations, and other memorable events.

All reservations include access to the entry lounge, the open-plan event space, and two outdoor terraces overlooking the ocean. The venue can accommodate events for up to 200 people.

As one of Santa Barbara’s most popular wedding and event venues, reservations can be made up to 18 months in advance.

Reservations must occur between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., including event setup and breakdown.

Weekend rates include an 8-hour reservation with the option to purchase up to two additional hours if needed. Reservations include the use of tables and chairs, audio-visual equipment, the presence of an event monitor and security guard, and post-event cleaning.

Discounted rates are available for City of Santa Barbara residents and non-profits. Proof of residency or 501(c)(3) status is required to receive discounted rates.

A $1,000 non-refundable down payment is required at the time of booking. All reservations are subject to a $1,000 refundable security deposit.

Fridays & Sundays: 8-Hour Package Rate - $5,200-$6,872

Saturdays & Holidays: 8-Hour Package Rate - $6,094-$9,424

Hourly Rate over initial 8 hours (10-hour maximum). Fri & Sun: $450-659/hour, Sat & Holidays: $663-978/hour

Monday – Thursday: 2-hour minimum, 10-hour maximum - $279-403/hour

Catering & Alcohol Policy: The Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center offers flexible catering options, allowing you to bring in vendors of your choice, with a list of local providers available upon request. The on-site kitchen is equipped with professional-grade amenities, including a warming oven, two commercial refrigerators, one under-counter commercial freezer, a 3-compartment sink, and stainless steel prep tables to help streamline food preparation. An outdoor grilling area with electrical access offers additional culinary possibilities. Up to five hours of alcohol service is permitted within the venue and on the outdoor terraces.

Music Policy: The Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center includes complimentary access to essential A/V amenities, such as wireless microphones, a mobile 85-inch display TV, and a sound system suited for presentations, speeches, and background music. Amplified music is permitted until 10:00 p.m., with additional equipment supplied by your vendor. We encourage bringing a dedicated technician for events with more complex A/V requirements to ensure a stress-free experience

Time Allotments: 8 hours minimum rental time required for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, 2 hours minimum for all other days.

Decoration Policy:

The Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center offers the perfect blank canvas for your event. All reservations include primary items such as tables, chairs, a 5-foot bar cart, a lectern, and essential audio-visual equipment, with a detailed list of available items provided for your planning. After booking, you’ll receive complimentary access to online software to design your event layout. Our staff will arrange items according to your specifications before your reservation begins.

With key items included in your reservation, you can focus your budget on personalizing your event with your choice of decor, linens, tableware, centerpieces, floral arrangements, and additional lighting. A dance floor is available for an extra fee for those looking to add a lively touch to their event. Our venue features neutral colors and furniture, gorgeous lighting, and elegant architectural touches, so décor, other than table linens and centerpieces, may not be necessary. Decorations must not be nailed, stapled, thumbtacked, or duct taped to our walls. Open flame candles, sparklers, fire pits, sequins, glitter, confetti, silly string, rice, and birdseed are not allowed.

Cancellation Policy: For cancellations more than 10 days prior to the event, 100% of the security deposit and 90% of the remaining fees, other than the initial reservation fee, will be refunded. The initial $500 reservation fee is non-refundable.
