Inside the Santa Ynez Valley Magazine: Zaca Creek Ranch Feature

Inside the Santa Ynez Valley Magazine explores every detail that makes the region beautiful and unique, including local businesses, homes, restaurants, nature, and more. Recently, in the magazine’s Summer/Autumn 2020 edition, the charming Zaca Creek Ranch was among the locations featured and even appeared on the cover of the publication.

The feature focuses on Zaca Creek’s owner, Dennis Patrick, and his fiancé, Hayley Firestone, and the many hats they both wear both at the ranch and in the larger community. When they’re not busy tending to the ranch and their myriad of animals, including dogs, horses, alpacas, and llamas, Hayley and Dennis both dedicate their time to worthy causes.

Hayley is president of the board of the Santa Ynez Valley Foundation - an organization founded to support the area’s non-profits and to bring prosperity to the region. Hayley is admired by other board members and non-profit leaders for her dedication and success within the position. Most recently, she was able to organize the Foundation’s Coronavirus Relief Fund, which raised almost $75,000 to help 17 local non-profits with various programs in response to COVID.

The article goes on to describe Dennis’ current pursuits after his time as president of National Geographic Ventures. He not only has a novel in the works called Santa Ynez, based on the region’s recent history, but his independent film production company is also working on a film about the NASCAR driver, Wendell Scott.
